What do you do when you don’t know what to do?

Wherever you are in the nation right now, surely this health and economic crisis is having a massive disruption to your routine, work life, family life, and (possibly) your mental peace.  This is a time of great uncertainty and many unknowns. Unfortunately, the close cousins to uncertainty and unknowns include fear and anxiety.   (Free coaching offer below - Let's kick those to the curb!)

This abrupt 180 from the routines and patterns we were living just a handful of days ago has been jarring for many and has left us shaking our heads in disbelief.

Collective deep breath.

Big [virtual] hug.

I got to thinking about that question, "What do you do when you don't know what to do?".  This is uncharted territory for us all.

  • When our natural tendencies include a robust social calendar and frequenting our favorite restaurants, but we're told that's unavailable and instead to limit social activity.....

  • When we are used to vibrant offices and chit-chat with colleagues, but we're getting creative with home offices and uncovering a plethora or new distractions instead...

  • When all we want is to (physically) reach out and help our neighbors - or volunteer - or worship together but we're urged instead to stay home...

This can be intensely uncomfortable going against the grain.

My role as a Coach is not to have it all figured out. It's my humble opinion that no one has much figured out right now, and somehow, that's okay. This COVID-19 crisis has thoroughly dumped all of us upside down on our heads and shaken us alive.  And that is not meant to make light of the situation at all

...My heart breaks for those in the hospitals.

...My heart surges with love for the nurses, doctors and professionals on the front-lines working around the clock.

...My heart pains for the men and women losing their jobs and financial security due to the cancellations and closings.

We ourselves feel that what we are doing is just a drop in the ocean.
But the ocean would be less because of that missing drop.
- Mother Teresa

When I'm in a place of insecurity, cloudiness, or fear I have found that it is incredibly helpful to process in a safe place. I open up to my family, my friends, or my Coach. (Hi Pam!)

It's not typical that I find the "perfect" path forward or solve all the perceived problems, but it IS typical that I experience peace after getting honest with myself.  What is revealed is healed.

  • It IS typical that I experience more clarity about what can keep me grounded in the here and now.

  • It IS typical that I discover more wellness tools that increase my spiritual, emotional, physical, or mental health.

  • It IS typical that I explore and commit to actions about what I can take responsibility for in my environment, my relationships, or my internal dialogue.

I would love to support you right now.

I'm offering completely free 30 minute coaching sessions over the next week. Simply follow the link and find a time that works for you.  It's a joy to offer you a safe, trusted, judgement-free space to speak your heart.
